The Western Suburbs Trail Summit is sponsored by the Friends of Haverford Trails, Haverford Township's Parks and Recreation Department, and Delaware County's Trails Alliance and Planning Department. Agendas and presenters' visual materials from previous summits are available below.
The Haverford Township Department of Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Haverford Trails began co-hosting a "Trail Summit" in 2013. Its twin goals were to highlight and discuss the trail, cycling and walking initiatives being undertaken in Haverford Township, and to inspire and promote similar initiatives in neighboring municipalities. Over the years momentum grew, and it transformed into the "Philadelphia Western Suburbs Trail Summit." With support from Delaware County and its newly-formed Delaware County Trails Alliance, the summit grew again in 2021 to encompass all of Delaware County, PA and vicinity. The agendas and the visual materials used by presenters at past summits back to 2017 are made available here, using the links below. Some of these PDF files are large. There are also links to videos of the entire 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 summits, so you can see and hear the presenters' talks. Use your browser's "Back" button to return here. |
